Every house has them; places where just a little more lighting could enhance the quality and beauty of the room, make that garden path or sidewalk safer at night or just brighten up that otherwise dull dingy area.

Tip # 2 Be very aware of the color of the room and choose the appropriate custom lighting for the space. Some rooms look great in sunlight but when you turn on the wrong light at night it can ruin the color scheme of the space.
Tip # 3 Use a diffuser to take away the glare when adding new custom lighting to a bathroom or any other room with a mirror.

Tip # 5 When working with outdoor lighting try not to over light the landscape or you will go from adding to the beauty of your shrubs and flowers to detracting from or even over emphasizing some flaws in the landscaping.
Tip # 6 When working with custom lighting consider the area you're working with and choose the best lighting for that area. There may even come a time when custom lighting is not appropriate for where you want to use it so you may opt to not install any at all.
